Due to the slowl and subtle nature of the process, most people are unaware that their gums are receding. When gum tissue deteriorates and reveals your tooth’s root, this is known as gum recession. Your teeth may appear longer and more exposed, and you may feel an increase in sensitivity.

A gum graft is a short procedure in which your dentist rebuilds the damaged area using healthy gum tissue from the roof of the mouth.

Healthy and well-proportioned gums enhance your smile with an incredibly healthy and fresh appearance whilst protecting them to last longer.

No. Gum Surgery is a medically enhancing procedure. Not just for aesthetic purposes.

A tooth with too much exposed root area is prone to decaying, falling out and becoming extremely sensitive to hot and cold temperatures.

If you’re fortunate, you can get rid of your gum problems without having surgery. For this very reason, we advise scheduling a video consultation so that our surgeons can decide how best to treat your dental health issues. Our surgeons will be able to advise you on the best course of action for correction following your consultation.

Stitches may be required to close the incision and enable appropriate healing to start since surgical procedures usually include incisions. Sometimes an external cover is required, in which case extra care must be taken to keep the area as clean as possible.

The oral surgeon will make recommendations on how to avoid issues that could arise throughout the healing process. After an operation, over-the-counter pain relievers can be ideal, but if a stronger medication is required, the surgeon will write a prescription. To prevent difficulties, talk about when and how to take any medications  with your dentist.
